LUIS CARDOSO

Co-Founder / Managing Director

As the head of Algarve Caring Hands, Luis brings six years of experience in the care industry, with specialized training in dementia and Alzheimer’s support. Passionate about providing exceptional care, Luis is dedicated to ensuring individuals across the Algarve receive the highest level of support in the comfort of their homes. His leadership focuses on creating a compassionate, family-centered approach to caregiving, making a real difference in the lives of both clients and caregivers.

SAM BIRCH

Co-Founder / Head of Office Administration and Client Relations

Samantha brings a wealth of management and administrative expertise from diverse fields, including education, care, and charitable organizations. With a strong commitment to supporting others and relationship building, she emphasizes clear and effective communication to cultivate a positive, collaborative environment where clients’ needs are always met. Raised in Portugal in a close-knit family, Samantha is excited to offer exceptional care services to the whole Algarve community.

REBECCA BIRCH

Co-Founder

Born and raised in the Algarve, Rebecca has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, building and leading a diverse range of businesses throughout her career. With deep family values at her core, she is now embarking on a new journey as the Co-founder of Algarve Caring Hands-a family-run company dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care. As the driving force behind the business, Rebecca ensures smooth operations while prioritizing the well-being of both caregivers and clients, fostering a supportive and trusted environment for all.

PAULO MORAIS

Technical Director

Paulo is a healthcare professional trained in both Portugal and the United Kingdom, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Nursing recognized by the University of Algarve. He brings over 12 years of experience in residential, hospital, and community nursing care in the UK, combining strong clinical knowledge with a patient-centered approach focused on overall well-being.

JUDI MURPHY

Head Nurse

Judi is a Registered General Nurse since 1993 and a Certified Midwife since 1997, with over a decade of experience in addiction rehabilitation. She has been registered with the Portuguese Nursing Council since 2009. Throughout her career, she has worked primarily in private healthcare, including four years in home care (one year as the Technical Director), and elderly care facilities since 2022.
